Godiva Chocolatiers have created a sumptuous range of chocolate gift baskets and hampers, any of which would make a most delicious gift.

Godiva Chocolatier is one of the best chocolate makers in the world. Their chocolate is not as sweet as the Belgian chocolates which can be bought so easily nowadays, but has a lovely smooth texture with a flavour which remains in the mouth for some time after the chocolate has been consumed. The chocolates are expensive, but they are well worth the cost for the enjoyment they provide.

Godiva Gift Baskets from the USA

Their gift baskets, sold as hampers in their Europe online store, are wonderful to behold. There is a much wider selection available in the USA store and sadly these chocolate collections are not delivered outside the USA. They range in price from 45 US dollars up to 200 US dollars, and each basket contains a selection of different chocolate items. These may include chocolate bars, boxes of chocolates, special coffee and chocolate spreads, and more. All are beautifully presented in gift baskets which can be kept afterwards to use as decorative storage in the home.

The main Godiva USA online store can be found at Godiva Chocolatier USA.

Godiva Gift Baskets from Europe

The international European Godiva Chocolatier online store has a narrower selection of gift baskets which are equally delicious and would make wonderful gifts at any time of the year. The United Kingdom online shop has unfortunately a fairly narrow selection in the Hampers section which it is to be hoped that Godiva will increase. There is a total of four different hampers, ranging in price from £26.09 for the Chocolate Break Collection, up to £113 for the Godiva Temptations Deluxe Hamper. All contain a range of carefully selected items which will delight the palate and provide enjoyment. Even the smaller selections contain enough chocolate to last for some time.

A Visit to a Godiva Store

Interestingly, a visit to the Godiva store in Selfridges in London revealed that their shop did not contain all of the hampers shown online. One was on display (naturally the most expensive!) and the assistant said that they would be happy to make up the other hampers shown online on request. Those visiting the shop, however, may well have done so in order to see the items shown online before making a purchase, so it might be a good idea for the shop stockists to consider this when making orders. Obviously space in any shop is a consideration, but at a time when so many people order gifts online it's important to bear this in mind as well.

Godiva Chocolatier Arrangements for Delivery of Online Purchases

Delivery from the online store was also tested. The goods came exactly when stated, and although the courier was not able to provide a window of less than a full day for delivery times, the package arrived in the early afternoon. Again, this is something which companies using couriers should consider. It is not always convenient for people to wait from early in the morning until 7 or 8 in the evening for a package to arrive. The hamper purchased was, however, extremely well packed, beautifully presented and the quantity and quality of chocolates was such that several weeks later the small Carre bars are still being savoured!
